I saw a flock of birds flying over the beach and when I zoomed in with the Panasonic I saw that they had red beaks-they were Oystercatchers!

Nice shot. You should try the nature reserve behind the old Cowies/Vauxhaul building for wildlife too

Ive lived here most of my life. If you know Loch Park, its just between the park and the steel site. It is marsh land with some foot paths, and very beautiful.

Ah I live in Darlington, been here 10 years but only been to Redcar a few times, always with the kids so we just stuck on the beach or the shops

Its a very good place to take the kids in spring, the pools and ponds have all kinds of new life in them.. frogspawn, tadpoles, fish.. :giggle:, kids love that
